TONY WOLF
Reawaken your inner
child with PAFF!’s
new exhibition

One of the world’s best-known and most-loved children’s illustrators, Tony Wolf (born Antonio Lupatelli) is on display in Pordenone. Some 100 originals have been selected from his vast oeuvre produced over the course of his extensive career.
A wolf loved around the world
Born in the Parma area in 1930, Tony Wolf spent most of his life in Cremona, but also lived in the United Kingdom..
He worked with Corriere dei Piccoli, Fratelli Fabbri Editore and Dami Editore. Still today, after his passing in 2018, the majority of his works are published by Giunti.

A man of many talents
There are some 200 plus books in circulation illustrated by Tony Wolf.
But not everyone knows he was also the artist behind the books about the famous animated penguin, Pingu.
The exhibition
Created in collaboration with Tapirulan, the exhibition spans Lupatelli’s entire artistic career, including works published under various other pseudonyms: L’Alpino, Antony Moore and Oda Taro.
A large section of the exhibition is dedicated to the forest creatures that made his books famous: gnomes, elves, giants, fairies and dragons feature in works that are now finally on display for the public to enjoy.

There’s also an elegant catalogue to accompany the exhibition: 168 pages of images of the exhibited works published by Tapirulan. Available for €20.
